Two-day education fair to connect Indian students with Korean universities, education experts, alumni and organisations while highlighting new pathways from Korean language learning to higher education and careers in Korea
The Korean Education Centre in India (KEC), Embassy of the Republic of Korea in India, will host the Study in Korea Education Fair India 2026 on September 18 and 19 at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi. The two-day fair will bring together Korean universities, educational institutions, alumni and organisations to provide Indian students, parents and teachers with information about higher education opportunities in the Republic of Korea.
Organised by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED), Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea, and hosted by the Korean Education Centre in India, the fair is designed to present a broader picture of studying in Korea. It aims to show how a student’s journey can begin with an introduction to Korea at school, continue through Korean language education and higher studies, and eventually lead to academic and professional opportunities connecting India and Korea.
The fair will provide students with an opportunity to meet representatives from 15 Korean universities and institutions, including Kangwon National University (Gangneung), Konkuk University Glocal Campus, Kyungdong University Global, Dongguk University, Mokwon University, Busan Health University, Busan University of Foreign Studies, aSSIST (Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies) University, Sungshin Women’s University, Shin Ansan University, Ajou University, University of Ulsan, Chonnam National University, Cheju Halla University and Jungwon University.
Alongside the universities, the event will also feature organisations and institutions including the India Korea Center for Research and Innovation (IKCRI), Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency, Atomy India, GKS India Alumni Association, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), Korea Tourism Organization and the National Institute for International Education (NIIED). Their participation will allow visitors to explore opportunities beyond university admission, including research, industry, scholarships, entrepreneurship, tourism and Korea-India cooperation.
A major feature of the programme will be the India Korea Education Leadership Forum, under the theme “Building the Korea India Education Pathway: Connecting Korean Language, Higher Education and Future Careers.” The forum will bring together representatives from school education, higher education and industry to discuss the growing role of Korean language education and the opportunities that can follow from it.
The forum will be moderated by Prof. Satyanshu Srivastava of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. Speakers will include Shri K.S. Upadhyay, Additional Director of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, who will discuss the role of Korean language education in Indian public education; Prof. Guydeuk Yeon of Christ University, Bengaluru, who will speak on educational and institutional exchange between India and Korea; Prof. Neerja Samajdar of Jawaharlal Nehru University, who will focus on the academic pathway from Korean language learning to studying in Korea; and Phil (H.P.) Chung, CEO of Kinexin Convention Management, who will discuss industry expectations and career opportunities for the next generation.
Another important programme will be the GKS India Symposium 2026, “Talk Concert on Studying in Korea,” organised by the GKS India Alumni Association (GKSIAA). The symposium will provide students with practical insights from the perspective of scholarship recipients and alumni who have experienced the Korean higher education system.
The first day of the symposium will feature sessions on “Soft Power of Korea and India” and “Korean Language Education and Employability.” The second day will focus on “Korean Companies and Workforce Expectations” and “Career Pathways for GKS Graduates.” Through these discussions, students will be able to learn more about the relationship between Korean language skills, higher education, scholarships and career opportunities.
The programme will also include university information sessions, special performances, Korean cultural experiences and a lucky draw, giving visitors an opportunity to experience different aspects of Korea while learning about education opportunities. The University Zone will remain open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both days.
The Study in Korea Education Fair India 2026 comes at a time when interest in Korean language, culture, education and career opportunities is growing steadily among Indian students. Through the fair, KEC aims to provide students with direct and reliable information while creating greater awareness of the educational opportunities available in Korea.
More broadly, the event seeks to contribute to the growing educational relationship between India and the Republic of Korea by bringing students, educators, universities, alumni and industry representatives together on a common platform.
The Study in Korea Education Fair India 2026 will be held on September 18 and 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the NDMC Convention Centre, 15 Sansad Marg, New Delhi. Admission is free and the fair is open to students, parents and teachers interested in studying in Korea. Visitors can also pre-register for priority entry and receive a Study in Korea Passport.
