At the 7th Agri Business Conclave & Awards 2027, a distinguished group of leaders and visionaries were felicitated for their exceptional contributions to agriculture, policy, science, and global cooperation—each representing a critical pillar in shaping the future of sustainable and resilient agri-systems.

Among the honourees, Dr. Asif Iqbal, Chairman of the United Diplomatic Council, was recognised for Global Leadership in Economic Diplomacy & International Cooperation. A key force in advancing India’s global economic engagement, Dr. Iqbal has led high-level delegations across continents, engaging directly with heads of state and policymakers. His work has significantly strengthened bilateral and multilateral partnerships, creating impactful platforms that bridge policy and business while enhancing India’s presence in global economic governance.

Professor Daljit Singh was honoured as a Pioneer in Science Diplomacy & Sustainable Innovation, reflecting a career that seamlessly integrates academia, policy, and international collaboration. With vast experience spanning institutions in India and abroad, his contributions have advanced technological cooperation and promoted sustainable solutions, reinforcing the vital link between science and global development.

Recognised for promoting Ayurveda in Sustainable Agriculture, Ayurveda Maharshi Dr. Manoj Nesari stands out as a transformative figure in integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern agricultural practices. With over three decades of service, including a long tenure at the Ministry of Ayush, he has been instrumental in shaping national and global frameworks for Ayurveda, driving innovation, research collaboration, and international recognition of holistic and sustainable approaches.

In the domain of agricultural science and policy, Dr. Paresh Verma, Director General of the Federation of Seed Industry of India, was awarded for his Outstanding Contribution to India’s Seed Ecosystem & Agricultural Policy. With over 30 years of expertise in plant breeding and seed innovation, Dr. Verma has played a pivotal role in advancing climate-resilient agriculture, strengthening research-driven seed systems, and fostering industry–policy dialogue to enhance productivity and food security.

Adding to the distinguished list, Mr. Siraj Hussain, former Secretary in key ministries of the Government of India, was honoured for his Lifetime Contribution to Agricultural Policy & Food Systems Transformation. With decades of leadership in food and agriculture governance, including his tenure at the Food Corporation of India, his work has left an enduring impact on India’s food security architecture. Even post-retirement, his thought leadership continues to shape discourse through research, policy advisory, and extensive writing.
