At the World Food India 2025 in New Delhi, Diplomatist Magazine spoke to Anton Kollontai, Head of International Business at Royal Articka from the Russian Federation. Representing one of Russia’s most celebrated brewing companies, Kollontai shared the brand’s vision, legacy, and ambitious plans for the Indian market.

Founded 75 years ago, Baltica Breweries (Royal Articka’s parent brand) has grown into Russia’s leading brewing company and today ranks among the top 12 global beer producers. Its footprint extends far beyond Russia’s borders—its beers are currently exported to over 40 countries worldwide, with India poised to become its next major destination.

“India is a very exciting market for us,” Kollontai remarked. “In the next 2–3 months, our beers will officially be available here. Consumers will soon be able to find them across both on-trade and off-trade channels in the country.”

What Sets Royal Articka Apart?

In a market already buzzing with both domestic and international beer brands, Royal Articka brings something truly distinctive. According to Kollontai, the brand’s success lies in its commitment to quality and innovation.

“We are proud to produce beers of exceptional quality, crafted from 100% malt and completely natural ingredients,” he explained. “With more than 50 varieties, each with unique flavours and recipes, our range caters to diverse consumer preferences. This is what has made us popular across continents, and we are confident Indian consumers will also appreciate the difference.”

A Taste of Russia for India

Royal Articka’s expansion into India is more than just a business move; it represents an effort to introduce Indian beer lovers to the rich brewing traditions of Russia. With its vast selection of flavours, attention to quality, and natural ingredients, the company is positioning itself not only as a competitor in India’s vibrant beer market but also as a premium choice for discerning drinkers.

As Kollontai concluded: “We believe that once Indian consumers try our beers, they will be both satisfied and delighted. We look forward to making Royal Articka a trusted name in India, just as it is around the world.”

With its entry into India, Royal Articka is ready to bring Russian brewing excellence to one of the world’s fastest-growing beer markets—offering Indian consumers an extraordinary new experience in every sip.
