Diplomatic Nite 2024, held on 23rd November at the elegant Travancore Palace in New Delhi, celebrated a fusion of cultures, diplomacy, and creativity. A highlight of the evening was the breathtaking Power Walk featuring foreign ambassadors adorned in exquisite traditional Indian attire.

The distinguished diplomats participating in the Power Walk included: H.E. Ms. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia to India, Amb. Bizunesh, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Ethiopia to India, Mr. Thabang Linus Kholumo, Deputy Chief of Mission, High Commission of Lesotho, H.E. Mr. Reuben Gauci, High Commissioner of Malta to India, H.E. Slobodan Uzunov, Ambassador of North Macedonia and H.E. Mr. Fleming Duarte, Ambassador of Paraguay to India.

Each participant exuded confidence as they strode down the runway, wearing meticulously curated traditional Indian garments provided by Shades of India and Art Karat (Asha Kamal). Their ensembles symbolised India’s rich heritage while celebrating the event’s central theme—we are the world.

The audience responded with resounding applause, captivated by the elegance and cultural significance of the segment. The walk was not just a display of fashion but a powerful representation of global harmony, reinforcing the essence of diplomacy through cultural exchange. The evening left an indelible mark on all attendees, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared appreciation for India’s artistic legacy.
