At the Frames of Heritage: A Photo Exhibition and Echoes Beyond Borders – An Artistic Dialogue, Ajay Kakkar, Assistant Vice President at Radico Khaitan Limited, shared insights on how heritage and artistry traverse boundaries and inspire global appreciation.
Speaking about the theme of the exhibition, Kakkar emphasised the importance of preservation and storytelling. “When we speak of the ‘Frames of Heritage,’ we think of preservation—of celebrating identity, culture, stories, and the artistry embedded in every creation,” he said. “Craftsmanship is not static. It travels. Our stories, heritage, and expertise transcend boundaries, echoing far beyond borders. Heritage inspires us; it resonates globally.”
Kakkar illustrated this philosophy with examples of India’s rich regional traditions. “Consider Kashmir, whose serene beauty and intricate cultural strength tell the story of India’s northernmost region. Similarly, Rajasthan reflects its unique ecology, culture, and heritage, which continue to inspire art and craftsmanship today. Every creation rooted in these traditions carries India’s story, showcasing the nation’s cultural legacy on a global stage.”
Highlighting the broader relevance of heritage, he noted, “Our stories are more than individual creations—they are experiences, cultural narratives, and markers of excellence that inspire and connect people across the world.”
Kakkar reaffirmed the enduring value of preserving and celebrating cultural heritage: “Heritage, craftsmanship, and our stories will continue to travel, inspire, and connect people across the world. It is our responsibility to ensure these treasures are preserved and shared for generations to come.”
