Sri Lankan PM Mahinda Rajapaksa visited India from February 7-11. He held bilateral talks with PM Modi and discussed the ties between the two nations and resolved to further strengthen anti-terror cooperation and boost trade and investment ties by promoting joint economic projects in the island nation. EAM S. Jaishankar also met PM Rajapaksa and had a fruitful conversation on issues relating to the development of partnership and security cooperation between the two neighbours. Sri Lankan PM Rajapaksa also called on President Ramnath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan during the his five-day visit to India.
